Arial/Map location of The Lowry Theatre on google maps....

^^The above image is a map which should the location of Wyke 6th Form College, Hull, (Marked with a red star) and the location of The Lowry Theatre, Salford, Manchester (Marked with a black B/Green bubble and Underlined in red). In between these two destinations is a blue line which demonstrates one of the most fastest, easiest and convenient routes to travel from Wyke 6th Form College, Hull to the Lowry Theatre by Road. This map/image also demonstrates that if we were to take a group of students to an event/trip at the Lowry Theatre by road, either by coach or mini-bus (the most feasible, cheapest option for a large group of people travelling by road), that travelling this route through the M6 could take under 2 hours at around 1 hour 53 mins or could take upto nearly 2 hours 30 mins at around 2 hours 27 mins dependent on the contributing factors of traffic, time of day, vehicle and route. This route would mean travelling a distance of around 103 miles.

^^Anouther option of route and travel would be to travel by public transport. This map shows the location of Wyke 6th Form College, Hull and The Lowry Theatre, Salford, Manchester and one of the most direct route you could travel between the two locations using the public transport of Trains, buses, taxi's, metro services and walking. However this suggests that it would take longer to get to the Lowry from Wyke 6th Form College travelling by public transport at nearly 4 hours (around 3 hours, 58 mins) and would take less travelling by road using private, hired or college transport at less the two hours (around 1 hour 53 mins). This information are research suggests it could take more than twice as long to get to The Lowry from Wyke 6th Form College using public transport than it would travelling by road (hired coaches, college mini-buses). This map/image and research also gives the information that travelling by public transport between these two destinations would be complex and hard to organise as you would have to transfer from several different modes of transport like train to taxi to bus to walk to metro service which could also have health and saftey implications. Travelling by public transport between these two destinations would therefore also cost a lot of money, which may not be affordable by our target audience of students/young people who typically have a low income and can't afford to cost of expensive trips and travel. Therefore travelling by public transport from Wyke 6th Form College, Hull to the Lowry Theatre, Salford, Manchester would just not be at all feasible or practical for this particular event/trip.

Overall the most feasible method of transport for this event/trip would be by road in either a hired coach or college mini-buses (dependent on size of group being taken and availability of the transport at particular dates and times). This would be more feasible as it is cheaper, safer, more direct, easier, more convenient, affordable and more plausible to organise and arrange.

The overall distance between The Lowry Theatre and Wyke 6th Form College is approcimatly 105 miles/170 km (by road).
