Planning an event at the Globe Theatre

We would have our event in the middle of October as this would give us enough time to plan the trip successfully, would allow people to save up the money for the trip, would be at a sensible time in the academic year as its out the way of exam periods and would be off peak season and would therefore allow the trip to run at a cheaper cost.
^^The image shows the Globe Theatre Website and what's on at the Globe Theatre at the moment and for the foreseeable future.

The productions and plays that would be on at the time of the intended visit/event (October) are:

-A Midsummer Nights Dream, by Shakespeare.

-Macbeth, by Shakespeare.

-Blue Stockings, by Jessica Swale.

-Setting the Scene, A Globe Actors Production.

-The Lightening Child, by Chè Walker.

^^Most of these plays and productions are predominantly on at the begining - middle of October.

The production's and play's are usually performed at 2pm (matinèe) and 7pm (evening) although it does vary. I suggest that this event/ trip would consist of seeing a matinèe performance in the afternoon and perhaps in the morning we could arrange to participate in one of the Globe Theatre's, Tour and Expedition events to complement the visit and develop students knowledge and add to the educational aspect of the trip/event.

The Exhibition and Globe Theatre Tour event which seems most relevant and suitable to College Students due to its maturer nature and approach usually happens at 9am-12:30pm on the day of plays and performances, this would be a suitable edition to the trip and create a feasible day trip for students as well allow time for lunch in between activities. However this could have a negative effect on the trip too, as it could mean an early start for students/customers participating in the event/trip.

Another Idea would be to go on a day trip at the Weekend as firstly this means students won't have to miss out on any of there college lessons, studies and education and secondly it will allow students a full day out as well as allowing them to also visit the Globes Expedition which explores the life of Shakespeare and the London where he lived. This particular event also only happens on weekends and starts at 12:30pm which means students either don't have to get up so early or can do this activity plus the tour activity and see and evening performance at 7pm instead (a full day out). I propose the most feasible days for this to happen are on either of these dates:

Saturday 5th October 2013

Sunday 6th October 2013

Saturday 12th October 2013

Sunday 13th October 2013

Information on how to plan a group event/visit to the Globe Theatre and
the various different options the Globe Theatre offers to its customers.
I feel that the most feasable, cheap and benifial thing to go is go and see a play
or performance relevent to the student studies as well as this being the main purpose of
visiting a thetare too. This could be done at a cheap price. If we choose to watch the play or
performance from the yard it was be more authentic, allow us a better view and be cheaper
overall at only £5 per person which is a lot cheaper than at many other theatre performances
and is also cheaper than sitting up in the Galleries of the Globe Theatre which is know to
have a worse view and be hard to see from and you end up paying around £25-£50 for a
ticket and therefore watching a performance/play from the yard would be the most feasible thing
to do. Making this trip affordable to the Students were targeting this event/trip towards.

Here is the Shalespeare Globes Theatre Seating Plan showing the yard and Galleries:
