Whats on @ The Lowry Theatre during the period we intend to go for our event trip...
^^Above Shows an image screen shot of The Lowry Theatre Webpage showing whats on the week 14th-20th October 2013. (The intended time of visit-Mid October)
Including productions/events that may be relevent for students such as:
-The Tin Ring (Drama)
-People (Drama- A National Theatre Production)
-John and Mark (Drama)
-After the Rainfall (Drama)
-2 Faced Dance Company: Out of his skin (Dance)
-Music and Special events with Daniel O'Donnel
-Comedy Performances from; Ells James and Chris Corcoran, Josh Widdicombe, Pat Shortt
(Events such as Under 5's family activities and perhaps Daniel O'donnel would not be relevent or of interest to Students as the family activities are for young children under 5 which is the wrong age group content for our Student target audience and Daniel O'donnel is much older singer and performer who's fans are predominantly more mature people, he is unkown to many of the student age group)
^^Above Shows an image screen shot of The Lowry Theatre Webpage showing whats on the week 21st-27th October 2013. (Near the intended time of visit-Mid October)
Including Productions/events that may be relevent to students such as:
-The house that stank of death (Drama)
-Master and Margarita (Drama)
-A Clockwork Orange (Drama)
-The Michael Clark Company: All three at once (Drama)
(Music acts such as Alison Moyer and Jamie Cullum won't be of interest to many Students as there fans are predominantly older than students as they have been around for a long time and aren't modern acts however they could be relevant to music students if the content is appropriate, Family Activities/comedy kids club are targeted at under 5's/young children and therefore not appropriate for students, comedy acts like Andrew O'Neil are unlikly to be relevant or appropriate to student study)
Overall, as a team, me and Domanic have discussed that one of the best and most effective ways to find out which particular event/trip would be most appropriate to Student Study is to write up and send a questionnaire around to appropriate subject teachers in order to discover which will be the most feasible, relevant and benefitial trip for Student Study. Subject's that may benefit from a theatre trip, dependent on its content, are:
-Drama and Theatre Studies
-English Language
-English Literature
-Performing Arts
-Music
-History
-Dance
^^This information also suggests that a Theatre Trip would be a feasible event as it could be relevant and beneficial to many different types of Students.
^^As part of the Theatre Trip Event to The Lowry Theatre, it would be a good and feasible idea to combine watching a theatre show with other events/activities in order to make the trip/event as beneficial relevant and worth while as possible. A way to do this would be to visit one of the Exhibitions at the Lowry Theatre that is running at the time of the visit (Mid October/October). The Exhibitions Running at The Lowry at the time of the visit, as shown above are:
-Lowry Favourites Exhibition
-Defining Me: Musical Adventures in Manchester Exhibition
Depending on the Specific Students going, impacts upon how relevant the events/activities undertaken on the day. This is why a Questionnaire will be important in enabling us to gain this specific information in order to directly tailor to the needs of the specific students on the trip in order to make the trip as Feasible, Relevant and Benificial as possible.

Fee's..
When booking as a group there are no booking Fees. Group Booking's for more that 10 people work out cheaper, often 20% of the original ticket price per person. Students (who the visit is intended for) also class as concessions and get get around £5 of the original ticket price each. The price of an actual ticket depends on the particular show/event you go and watch. Prices of events/shows that may be relevant and beneficial to some students/subjects at Wyke 6th Form College (who the visit is intended for) and are running at The Lowry Theatre at the Time of the Intended visit (Mid-October/October 2013 time) predominantly cost around £15-£25 which is cheap for a Theatre Ticket and could be cheaper with conseesion and group discounts, but not as cheap as it would be standing at the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre which only costs £5. Its important for the trip/event to be of cheap cost to make it feasible for students to afford as students typically have a low income and less money than other groups of people/customers.
